Architecture School Portfolio

First Project / Linear Cube

The objectives for this project are to learn how to use primary architectonic elements to define and control space: lines, and mass. In the process of learning how to work with these systems you will use various conceptual strategies and techniques to explore spatial organization and spatial relationships. Have a clear spatial strategy that is becoming articulated within a developing architectural language.

The cube is a spatial volume dealing with various types of enclosure. Lines element creates moving thresholds and light/shadow effects. The project also centers on rhythm and the idea of layering. The final model takes into account different layers of linear elements creating a “skin” enclosure around the main axis of the cube.
